A couple of big losses for me this spring. First my father, March 26, 2009 died at age 96. An earlier picture from a thoughtful moment:
He kept our farm together by hard work and dedication through hard times. He was kind, smart, and taught me beekeeping, woodworking, patience, and how to work effectively really hard. I miss him.
If that wasn't enough, my wife of 41 years passed away April 30, 2009, 5 years after her cancer diagnosis. This is almost too much to bear, but bear it I must. Betsy brought much happiness to me and gave the gift of her great talents to our local academic community and the community at large.
I am truly sorry so many of my Falco friends never met her. She was glad I had found the Falco project after seeing what it meant to me.
Dear Mr. Mulliken,
Surfing the web on "F.8L Falco" I found your website. I admire people who took the step to build an aircraft, especially a Falco. My condolances also, you are very open on the tragedies that happened to you this year. Keep on realizing your dreams!!
To give you an impression how your future plane could look like:-), please visit my website about Hilversum Airfield in The Netherlands, a small but great green aerodrome with 4 resident Falco's: www.ehhvphotobook.com. One of them (Sequoia PH-HGL) is American built by Ralph Braswell.
Kindest regards,
Vincent

Vincent,
Thank you for your comments. You've done the aerodrome a great service with your site. Are these all Sequoia Falcos? I don't recognize the cowling on OY-BKC. I can't imagine how you came up with the vortex for PH-HGL.
Four Falcos on one field-unbelievable.

Dear Mr. Mulliken,
I was touched to read about your wife and father. I don't know when you experienced this but hope that working on the Falco helps to take your mind off your loss.

Hello-
I admire you for your perseverance in light of you personal losses. I can take very little credit for my own Falco, as I did not build it...merely am advancing cosmetics Once finished hopefully later this year, I would be pleased to have you fly it.
God bless.
